Mila Apperlo is an abstract painter whose work is deeply rooted in the textures, colors, and quiet rhythms of the natural world. With a background in both fine art and glass, she blends mixed media and intuitive techniques to create pieces that feel both minimal and emotionally rich.
Her paintings don’t rely on recognizable forms. Instead, they explore mood, movement, and the space between clarity and ambiguity. Through layers of texture, subtle gestures, and intentional restraint, each work invites the viewer into a quiet moment of reflection open to personal meaning.
Mila’s art has been exhibited internationally and collected by individuals and institutions across the world. She spent years teaching abstract and glass art in Florida and now focuses primarily on her studio practice.
She divides her time between Bonita Springs, Florida and Serbia (Eastern Europe), two very different places that feed her creative spirit in distinct ways. Her life and work reflect a balance of nature and structure, movement and stillness, tradition and experimentation.
Mila paints not just what she sees, but what she feels, and invites others to do the same.
