Elijah in a chariot of fire
In 2014 Stanisic Studio made one large stained glass window, about 12 ft 6 in x 32 ft 10 in, for the Church of Mary, Mother of the Church in Garevac, Bosnia and Herzegovina, a church burned in 1992 and restored by its parish. Designed by Stevan Stanisic, it shows the prophet Elijah taken up to heaven in a chariot of fire, while Elisha reaches up from the bank of the Jordan.
Highlights

The full size cartoon was drawn in pencil and laid out on the floor of the atelier in Sombor. The glass was then cut, painted by hand, fired, leaded and installed from a tall scaffold above the choir loft. At night the lit window shines out over the entrance of the church.
