Geometric stained glass windows designed by the painter Ivan Tuna Jakic, made by Milan Stanisic Senior in the early 1980s and completely restored by his son Stevan Stanisic in 2007.

2 generations, 1 church

In the early 1980s Milan Stanisic Senior of Atelje Stanisic made the stained glass windows of the Church of Saint Francis of Assisi in Bila, Bosnia and Herzegovina, to designs by the painter Ivan Tuna Jakic. In 2007 his son Stevan Stanisic took every window down, brought them to the studio in Sombor, restored them completely, then brought them back and installed them again.

Highlights

The windows are tall and narrow, each a geometric composition of stars, crosses and diamonds in its own color: violet, red, amber and turquoise. Along the nave they form a rhythm of colored light between the pillars.
