2 triangles of light
For a new chapel in Budva, on the Adriatic coast of Montenegro, designed by architect Slobodan Mitrović, Stanisic Studio made 2 large triangular stained glass windows in 2006, about 150 square feet in all. The designs are by the artists Branka Stijović and Slobodan Slovinić: one window is built around a cross with golden arches and the silhouette of an old town, the other is an abstract play of rose, coral, amber and violet. The glass is mouth blown antique glass from Germany and the United States, carried by steel frames that follow the lines of the design.
